Research area: Research interests include: 1) the modelling of converter-fed electrical machines; 2) the identification and regulation procedures of adjustable speed drives with numeric algorithms, specially for applications with robotic actuators and linear drives; 3) the integration of drives with other system components through field busses and communication protocols also for diagnostic purposes; 4) design of electrical machines

Ezio Bassi was born in Voghera, Italy, in 1951 and received the Dr. Ing. Degree in Electrotechnics from the University of Pavia in 1976. Currently he is with the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale e dell'Informazione of the same University as a Full Professor, since 2003, of Electrical Machines and Drives since 2003. He served also as the responsible of the Didactic Council for Igegneria Industriale (Industry Applications of Engineering) and as the Director of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica. Prof. Bassi is a member of CEI Technical Committee 301- Electric Drives and a member of ANIPLA (Italian Association for Industrial Automation).
